Taylor Simone is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersections of perception, symbolism, and environment. Her practice foregrounds the layered relationship between the seen and unseen, often positioning the figure within perceptual spaces where objective and subjective realities coexist. Through collage, graphic media, and experimental forms, Simone activates negative space, repetition, and symbolism to illuminate the sensorial dimensions of lived experience.

Rooted in both research and intuition, her studio functions as a site of world building—drawing from philosophy, African American spiritual traditions, and her lived experience with sensory processing disorder. Simone is currently based in Detroit, MI, where she continues to expand her practice across writing, organizing, and education.
